Chicago made headlines recently when they announced that they are committed to using 100 percent renewable energy by 2035. Mpower Energy is committed to helping Chicago reach that goal long before that.
According to Lavie Popack, CEO of Mpower Energy:
“We are so excited to be able to bring clean energy to the people of Illinois. So many consumers and businesses in Chicago have been asking us to switch them to “green” energy, and now we can help them make the switch!”
The new Mpower Energy office will be located very close to the downtown area of Chicago. Operations are scheduled to commence circa fourth quarter this year.
“Our mission is to educate consumers about how they can make a difference on the environment by switching to clean energy,” said Popack.
Mpower Energy will also bring their business spotlight program that advertises “green businesses” on Mpower’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages. The Business Spotlight reaches thousands of people on social media, and helps to brand the business as a company that cares about the environment.
“Just last year alone, we were able to make the equivalent of planting over ten and a half million trees by switching homes and businesses to renewable energy. This year we will blow that number out of the water by opening new locations in Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Columbus. We love hearing from our customers how happy they are for switching to clean energy and we look forward to making a much larger impact on the environment by bringing the choice to go green to Illinois,”Said Lavie Popack, CEO of Mpower Energy
