Retail electric and natural gas provider Ambit Energy plans to cut 92 jobs from its Plano call center this fall, according to a company filing with the Texas Workforce Commission.
Those jobs are scheduled to end Nov. 19. The Dallas-based company didn’t say how many positions would remain at that call center.

“The decision to move an increased percentage of our call volume away from our Plano center was made to ensure that Ambit is leaner and better prepared to compete in the highly competitive energy markets,” CEO and co-founder Jere Thompson Jr. said in a statement.
